An autopsy will be performed on the remains now identified as those of 30-year-old Hillary Sharma of Eastlake.
The cause and manner of death has not yet been determined.
Two Metroparks rangers on foot spotted the body early Thursday evening floating in the river underneath the Highland Road Bridge in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
A search had already been underway. Hillary Sharma was last seen last seen August 19th, her car found in the park four days later. Authorities have been searching the park along the river through out the week.
The park system issued a statement Friday evening, saying that the investigation has not revealed anything to indicate that park visitors are at increased risk.
Dozens of fire departments, law enforcement agencies, businesses and individuals helped search for Hillary Sharma over the past week.
The Park system thanked them all for their efforts, and expressed condolences to Hillary Sharma's family.
