Yes, it is!!  I just found out that the first Friday in June is always National Doughnut Day.  So, I plan to have a few today.  Not a few dozen, just a few.  Don't you just love the "baker's dozen"??  I mean, sure, throw in an extra doughnut....got to love it!!  Speaking of love, what are your favorite kinds.  My least favorite kind is the lemon filled.  For some reason, I don't care for lemon pie & lemon doughnuts.....I love lemonade though.  Go figure!!  I prefer the filled kind, especially berry filling.  You name it, strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, gooseberry.....well, maybe not!!  Have a doughnut on me today & enjoy National Doughnut Day!!  Uh, you have powdered sugar on your shirt!!

Yes, remembering.  That's the main thing we should do on Memorial Day.  Memorial Day is about remembering the many service men & women who have given their lives in service to our great nation, protecting our freedom, so that we can have picnics, parades & parties.  There will be a lot going on this weekend.  The holiday that kicks off of summer, also brings fireworks, family get togethers & memorial services.  I hope you enjoy your time with family & friends.  Be safe in what you do & above all, give thanks for the service men & women who served us & lost their lives while serving our great nation.  There can be no higher honor.
