His non-profit work includes the Cleveland Scholarship Program, Providence House, and the Greater Cleveland Hunger Task Force. Jimmy,April, and their daughter Angela host a charity golf outing every year to raise money for Cleveland Scholarship Programs. They are always looking for sponsors, and donations of prizes or auction items. If you are willing to help, please contact Jimmy or call Cleveland Scholarship Programs at (216) 241-5587.

Jimmy Malone has only worked for one radio station, WMJI, but when you work for the Number One Morning Show in Cleveland, where else can you go? A Cleveland native, Jimmy started out part-time on the morning show with the popular feature, "Knuckleheads in the News," and in 1991, the Lanigan, Webster, and Malone show came into existence.

Jimmy Malone still performs Stand-up Comedy in the Cleveland area upon occasion and always brings a new perspective to the Morning Show. He is truly the "Voice of Reason."

Personal Saying: "Sometimes the worst thing for a child is the parent."
A COLLEGE EDUCATION IS SO IMPORTANT

  • College Now Greater Cleveland
The organization formerly known as Cleveland Scholarship Programs is now named “College Now Greater Cleveland” Although the name is new, the same great staff and advisors are ready and able to help young people from NE Ohio pursue their dream of a college education. WMJI morning show co-host Jimmy Malone, is very proud of his 17 year affiliation with this fine organization. More info

    The Malone Scholarship Golf Classic
    Helping students across Northeast Ohio
Jimmy Malone, co-host of the Lanigan & Malone Show on WMJI 105.7 FM in Cleveland, OH believes strongly in giving back to the community, which is why he started the Malone Scholarship Fund. The major fundraiser for the Malone Scholarship is the annual golf classic tournament. Westfield Insurance, Applebee's and Cargill are the major sponsors, but the Malone's are lucky to have lots of support from generous donors throughout the community. More info at jimmymalone.com
THE PEOPLE I WORK WITH
  • In my humble opinion, the WMJI  morning show crew is the best team in the history of radio. From 10:00 am until 5:30 am the next day, we are very close friends and would do almost anything for each other (except Lanigan and I). However, during the show, it is a war zone in the studio and your friends and enemies can change in seconds.

    LANIGAN
We hate to agree with each other. If we do agree on something we will both try to rethink our positions. Something must be wrong if we are on the same side of an issue. Lanigan is responsible for me being on the radio. He invited me onto his show 20 years ago. He has regretted it ever since. Although he complains abot me a lot, he loves me like a son. Most people find it hard to believe, but I like him too.

    CHIP
This guy thinks of himself as a super genius. I don't agree, but that doesn't matter to him. Politically we are polar opposites, but we agree on almost everything else. He's a real creep, but he's also one of my closest friends.

    TRACEY
Tracey is a vicious fighter. She has pummeled people throughout Ohio. A few years ago, she was removed from a home improvement store after drop kicking an employee. We are all afraid of her. She frequently chases us through the building when she loses her temper. She also does a great job booking guests for the show.

If Tracey gets mad at you she will probably hurt you really bad. Here's some potentially life saving information--Tracey has a weakness for potato chips. If she corners you, a bag of chips might save your life.
